May repeat flowering. Used also in formal / informal hedges. Used also as a rootstock for rhododendron grafting.
PLANTING
Partial shade, medium moist, well-drained, nutrient rich, acid garden soil. Need some shade protection, especially from Spring sun, because badly tolerates direct sun in middle of day. Doesn't like high level of groundwater.

Prune spent flower stems after flowering maintaining rounded shape.
